TITANS INTERIM HEAD COACH MIKE MULARKEY PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT - December 11, 2015

(on Byron Bell's influence on the younger offensive linemen)

Byron (Bell) has been very good for these guys. He's more vocal away from the coaches and stuff, so I know he has a big influence on these guys and he is a leader in his own way. He's quiet, but sometimes in those team breakdowns, he's the one that's getting those guys ready for a game or for a practice. He's got a good message and as many young guys as we have, he's been good for them. **

(on how Quinton Spain performed his second time as a starter)*

Better. This will be another test. He's facing three good lines in a row and bigger bodies. Like you're going to see, there are a bunch of number-one picks he's going to have to face this week and it will be a good test for him. I think, obviously, the experience has helped week after week. I feel like he's improved from one to the next, and hopefully that happens again.

(on if Quinton Spain has put himself in position to become a full-time starter)

He hasn't done anything that makes us should or should not. Right now, he's done well enough that we feel good with him. We're trying to keep the line together as much as we can to just have some unity in there. Communication is important and all the things that go together with an offensive line, we're trying to keep it as steady as we can. There's nothing that has said, 'Hey, let's try another lineup.'

(on how much Dexter McCluster has changed what the team can do on offense)

He's one of those guys you always go in with who can change a game by a play. He's one of those guys. He's just capable of when the ball is in his hand, scoring. They call them 'Game-Wreckers.' He's got that ability, if you get it in his hands, he can go the distance. The run we had against, that Thursday night or whenever it was, he scored a touchdown on a long run. He's a threat, you've got to know where he's at and you've got to be careful who you match him up with. He's so quick, it's a mismatch for a lot of people.

(on if it is tough getting Dexter McCluster back but losing Kendall Wright)

That's been kind of what's been happening. We haven't had those two together in weeks, so it would be nice to have all those playmakers together. It would certainly help the cause, but we're going to move forward. This is what we've got.

(on Kendall Wright's status for Sunday)

He'll be out.

(on if Tre McBride and Andrew Turzilli are ready to step up in Kendall Wright's absence)

They are. They've been here as long as the coaches. They're here early and they stay late. They've been grinding. They're going to have to step up and make the most of their opportunity. They'll play pretty extensively.

(on if there will be added pressure on Dorial Green-Beckham after last week's performance and being without Kendall Wright)

I don't know how much more, he puts a lot of pressure on himself already. He's trying to really do it the right way. Obviously, he's going to get more snaps than he's had in the past, so hopefully we get some consistency and get another good game from him.
