(on the Titans, Cam Ward and the chance to play with him)
I've been watching them since the Derrick Henry days, and I'm very excited for Cam Ward, being able to go out there and run routes and catch balls from him.
(on if he had a sense he would get selected by the Titans this early)
I knew there was a thought, but I didn't have any idea that I was going to go this early.
(on the lineage of productive Ohio State receivers in the NFL)
It starts with coach (Brian) Hartline. He pours so much love and attention into us that he allows us and sets us up for the next level. And then that's why our game is so easy to be able to translate to the next level.
(on how he sees himself adjusting to NFL defenses and facing the top cornerbacks in the league)
I'm looking forward to it. That's all you could ever want, the best on best. So I'm looking forward to going out there and making plays and helping the organization.
(on what he can take from his role at Ohio State to help him adjust to a new role with the Titans)
The same thing, just make the most of your opportunities. I think that's what football is especially at the receiver position. As long as you make the most of your opportunities and catch the balls that come your way, good things happen.
(on his ability to gain yards after the catch)
That's definitely a work-in-progress. I'm looking to improve that game at the next level and continue to get better.
(on what it means that Brian Daboll believes he can make an immediate impact)
I'm happy for him and I'm very appreciative of coach (Brian) Daboll. He's done a lot for them as an OC caller and trusting his guys. He's going to put the guys in the best position to succeed.
(on the touchpoints he had with the Titans during the process and his impressions of Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh)
I just had my two meetings with them. At the Combine, and I obviously went down on my top-30 visit, so those are the two visits I only had, and that was the only time we were in contact with each other.
(on the Titans current wide receiver room)
Yeah, I'm very familiar with the receiver room. Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale (Robinson), you got Chim Dike, you've got Elic (Ayomanor). I watch those guys. Those guys have done unbelievable things for that program.
(on playing with Jeremiah Smith who could draw defenders away and playing with receivers who may not warrant that defensive attention)
It was good playing alongside JJ (Jeremiah Smith). He allowed me to thrive and I allowed him to thrive. We just, as a receiver room, we all worked hand-in-hand, going out there, playing for the love of our brothers alongside of us and then just doing our thing. That way our teammates can succeed.
(on some of the top cornerbacks he's looking forward to facing in the NFL, namely Derek Stingley Jr. of the Texans)
I'm very excited to go against the Texans defense. They're known for their defenses, how fast they play around the field. I'm really excited to have those top-dog matchups, the one-on-one matchups with the top corners in the division.
(on his game)
I think I'm best at catching the ball, my route-running ability, the ability to get open, and also my contested catch. And then also, I bring in the blocking. So I bring overall—I bring any and everything to the table. I'm a complete receiver. I do it all.
(on the first things he wants to do to get acclimated to this team)
Just meeting the guys, for real. Just showing the guys they can trust in me, they can believe in me. Just being around the guys, hanging out with them as much as possible and building that connection.
(on customizing his jacket to have his mom and sisters' name inscribed)
Those two women mean the most to me. My mom, she's watching over me each and every day, and then also my sister who's still here with me. We love each other, we talk to each other almost every day. We get through this life together. So, they mean the world to me.
(on what he thinks about Jeremiyah Love)
I think Jeremiyah Love is a great player. I played him two years during my time at Ohio State. Played him my freshman year, and then also played him my sophomore year in the national championship. I think he's a great player and he'll do great things over there in Arizona.
