Bulluck hosts area foster children in annual event

NASHVILLE, TN, Aug. 11, 2008 — Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck hosted a group of foster children that are under the care of Tennessee's Department of Children's Services to be his guest at a training camp practice earlier this week.

Linebacker Keith Bulluck invited a group of foster children to Baptist Sports Park for free school supplies and shoes.

The day was not all about football, however. In what has become an annual event, Bulluck provided backpacks and school supplies for these children.  In addition to the school supplies, through his partnership with Nashville-based charity Soles4Souls, the students also received free sandals.

Once a foster child himself, Bulluck understands and can identify with many of his special guests for the event, hence his creation of his Believe and Achieve Foundation. The foundation's purpose is to provide support, encouragement and stability to children in the foster care system.

Before receiving their back-to-school items, Bulluck talked to the children about making the right decisions, staying focused and reaching for your goals. Fellow linebackers Ryan Fowler and David Thornton joined Bulluck in visiting with the children. Following words of encouragement from the players, the linebackers visited with the kids in a one-on-one setting, signed autographs and posed for pictures with the children. Bulluck was named the Titans Community Man of the Year each of the past two seasons based primarily on his work with foster children.  He is the National Spokesperson for Foster Care Awareness Month, holds a turkey giveaway each year, holds the "Christmas with Keith" event where he takes 30 young foster men on a shopping spree and annually participates in the Read Across America Day amongst a plethora of other events.

ABOUT BELIEVE AND ACHIEVE**
The Keith Bulluck Believe & Achieve Foundation Inc., was established in May 2003 and received its letter of recognition as a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization from Tennessee and New York one year later.  Children are often placed in foster care due to no fault of their own.  Many children placed in the foster care system are victims of abuse, neglect and other harms.  The Believe & Achieve Foundation provides support, encouragement, and stability to children throughout the time that they are in the foster care system.  In addition through The Alma's Door Program, Believe & Achieve will continually help those children who are about to age out of the system preparing them for life.  We promote the concept that you must believe in yourself in order to achieve your goals.  For more information, please visit
