Igniting the Fire, Season 2: Good to Great - The Next Step

Ever since the team's season-ending loss to the Colts, Titans GM Jon Robinson and head coach Mike Vrabel have been working hard behind the scenes to help the Titans take the next step in 2019.

Since taking over as controlling owner in 2015, Amy Adams Strunk has built the foundation of a winning franchise, now installing an organizational belief of going from "good to great."

Titans defensive backs expect to be an improved unit in 2019, having spent a full off-season together under secondary coach Kerry Coombs. Both veterans and younger players hold each other accountable on and off the field, which they believe will translate into success this season.

Running backs Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis and David Fluellen have been working hard all offseason to improve a Titans run game that finished as one of the best in the league over the final month of the 2018 season.

Veterans Wesley Woodyard and Cameron Wake display their veteran leadership during the offseason, helping form a brotherhood that Titans linebackers hope will translate on the field in 2019.

Marcus Mariota will have new weapons to throw to in 2019 with the additions of wide receivers Adam Humphries and A.J. Brown. They join veterans Corey Davis, Taywan Taylor and Tajae' Sharpe in what the Titans hope will be an improved air attack this season.

When former Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur was named head coach of the Green Bay Packers following the 2018 season, Mike Vrabel didn't look far to find his replacement. The team promoted tight ends coach Arthur Smith, a long-time assistant whose hard work and dedication earned the respect of Titans coaches and players, elevating him to the next level.

From the moment Titans rookies were drafted in April, they've been working hard throughout OTAs and minicamp to acclimate to the NFL, while taking on the team's mindset of going from "Good to Great."
