How do you feel about your contributions to help your team win this game?
Oh man. Just this team, they count on me man. I'm grateful. They give me the opportunity to just go out and make a play. Whenever my number is called, I have to go out there and execute. So that's my job.
DeMeco Ryans just said that Davis' (Mills) calm demeanor that rubs off on everyone else, makes him calm, does it calm you too?
Yeah, for sure. 1,000 percent man. Every time (Davis) Mills steps in the huddle, it's always calm, next play, everybody slow down, breathe, one play at a time, man. His calmness really just calms everyone down and that's how you execute.
Third-and-16 you got to have it. Take us through that play that was so key to the win.
It was. It was a big read by Mills. Caught them in a zone, cover-2, had the corner route, kept it high, toe tap on the sideline.
Your trust in one another, how strong is that faith that you with each other?
It means a lot. It comes down to the week of practice, extra reps, routes on air, the communication out there, the walk-thru, just seeing what he sees. And just coming back to the huddle and saying, 'we keep it hot just like that,' that's all it takes. And then just continuing to stack wood and continuing to get better every single day.
You get the W. Was it closer than you hoped for? Did you want to put these guys away?
Yeah, for sure. But that's every week. That's a great team over there. Like I said, in this league, you can't take nobody for granted. Everybody's great. Proud of us. Glad we stuck to the script, kept swinging all four quarters. But Tennessee has a great team over there.
How good does this feel?
It feels great man. Especially a divisional win on the road, it means a lot. And coming off of last week, another divisional win. But I feel like for us, we have to continue to take it one game at a time. Continuing to stay eyes in front of us and get ready for Buffalo. Short week so got to take care of the bodies and go out there and have fun.
