You found it early. What were you seeing? You had two receptions on that opening drive, you guys were able to move the ball downfield, and then obviously things changed. What was different?
I don't know man. Defense probably made some good stops. We probably didn't execute on our end.
I guess it goes without saying, it's frustrating to see an offense that you know can be successful. You've seen it successful over the last couple of years. How frustrating is that for you to be on the field and see things going the way they're going?
I just got to do what I can do. I'm trying to help the team make the team as best as I can. That's my job. Anything else, you know what I'm saying, just be a teammate to my guys.
What's missing from practices to games?
I don't know, man. That's a good question. We practice hard. It's not that we don't practice hard. I guess we got to find that spark. Somebody's got to give us that spark. Somebody's got to make a play. We've got to make plays out there.
I don't want to speak for you Ja'Marr, but the other guys we've talked to have seemed confident in this team, in this group, what you have. What can you lean on that gives you confidence for this group to get this turned around?
I mean, we know who we have on our team. We've got special guys, prolific guys at that. And we all know what we're capable of. We've just got to find that spark, like I keep saying. And when we find it, we'll get that run hopefully and keep it going.
You've been around [Joe] Burrow since his days at LSU. When you've seen him play so well, is it kind of odd kind of seeing him try to kind of find his way, given the calf issue and kind of the way the offense looks right now?
It's probably my first time seeing him through an injury like this besides, you know, that knee. But being on the team with him, this is the first time like that. So, you know, he's just going through a little adversity and he's going to be back and better in no time.
