NASHVILLE – OTAs and minicamp are now in the rear-view mirror for the Tennessee Titans.

What's ahead is a long wait until training camp.

Reporting date is July 25.

We'll keep this web site hopping, though, to help pass the time.

Starting with this weekend's mailbag…

Eloy Zambrano from Monterrey, Mexico
Question:
I saw that Kristian Fulton is back, was great to see him practicing with the team. One last question, what is happening with Caleb Farley: Is he practicing? Thanks and Titan Up!!!!

Jim: Hello Eloy. You're right – Kristian Fulton was back in town. He returned for minicamp last week, and stuck around for OTAs. But he didn't practice. Fulton said he's healthy, but he instead spent his time working inside, in meetings, and in the weight room, under the direction of the coaching and training staff. He's expected to be ready for training camp. As for Farley, he hasn't practiced all offseason. He's still recovering from his back surgery, and the team is giving him as much time needed to get right.

Dedric Norris from Nashville, Tennessee
Question:
Hey Jim. You have been doing a great job keeping the fans educated on all things Titans. My question is why can't we do with Malik Willis like the Saints use Taysom Hill? I think Malik would be a great weapon if used in that capacity. He has shown that in the open field he can really do some damage.

Jim: Hi Dedric. It's funny, Lee Wilds from Portland asked me this question earlier this offseason and I responded: Malik needs to make the team first. And while this remains true, I'm liking his chances of doing that a lot more after seeing him this offseason. Yes, it's hard to keep three QBs on a 53-man roster. Yes, Will Levis is going to be on the team. Yes, Malik Willis still has a lot of improving to do. But after being skeptical about Malik's chances of being on the 53 at the start of this offseason, I'm leaning the other way now for a few reasons. Right now, though, he needs to keep concentrating on being the best quarterback he can be instead of being the next Taysom Hill.

Joey Kocsis from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Question
: Jim, nothing but a great idea to sign DeAndre Hopkins, if we can. Guys like him are elite and will make everyone around him better. And that's the point. Treylon Burks will automatically step his game up, bc obviously he is a competitor. Even if it's a one year deal. Say he does sign and leaves after one year, Burks will be that much better the year after. So yes, it will be worth it! Would you agree?? The other scenario, if he signs, we could have an outstanding outcome. Make it to the AFC championship, and Hopkins returns on a new contract!!

Jim: I'm with you on this, Joey.

Ray Tyler from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question:
If signing DeAndre Hopkins doesn't workout for the Titans… how do you feel about potential bringing in a veteran like Antonio Brown? I know he's had some issues on & off the field but he adds much needed veteran experience to a young receiving, and even though he's almost 35 he's still better than all of the receivers they currently have on the roster.

Jim: I'm not with you on this, Ray.

Alonzo Baxter from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question
: Hello Jim. Will the Titans have open practices for the fans this year during training camp? If so, where can we find the dates and practice times?

Jim: Hey Alonzo. This falls into the 'to be determined' category. The Titans will have open practices for fans again this year, but the numbers will once again be limited, and I suspect different groups will be attending on different days. It's not going to be a situation like years ago where the gates will open and everyone can come in. The landscape at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park has changed because of the renovated building, which has limited the space for fans to watch, and a lack of parking around the facility because of added businesses, and other changes. I have heard capacity will be increased compared to a year ago, however. Stay tuned for more information. We'll get some more info on this in July.

Cainen Rosales from New Mexico
Question:
Hi, Jim. I was wondering if could see the reveal of the Oilers uniforms. End of this month? Next month? We haven't had an update since May 2nd, so I was just curious.

Jim: This will also be in July.

Dimitrios Jimmy Kosmas from Nanaimo, BC, Canada
