HashtagHoward Turner from Atlanta, Georgia
Question: Let me just open with a rest in power to the great Coach Mac, his fire and fervor for all things Titans will be gravely missed on Sundays and in all future OTP's.
His impact is timeless and global. #ThankYouCoachMac #WeWillForeverKeepThePowderDryForYouSir
Greetings Jimbo, hope you are well. #WaddupToTheTenneseeVisor!
I just wanted to jump in here post draft to revisit my Santa's to do list I shared with you from December to see how we made out.
Santa's to do list:
1. 2 more wins to close the season #Nope #SantaStumped #WentOutWithAWhimper #OnToTheNext
2. Premier edge rusher - Not sure about premier; we may get this done by committee. #ILikeThatRoom
3. Solidify the DB room - Borgo came thru with some solid FA adds IMO #FeelinBetterAboutThisRoom
4. Number 1 target for Cam and the WR room #BorgoAteWithCarnellTate! #ThatRoomHasDiverseGifts
5. Generational Head Coach hire - we are optimistic; won't know until we know #WeGonSee
6. Retain Bones Fassel by any means necessary - Yessir!! #NoBrainer #SantaCameThruQuick
7. Another solid draft class - No question, there was an obvious plan and Borgo did his thing #Noice
While O-line is presently unclear, all in all 5 and a possible out of the 7 on the wishlist ain't bad at all! Offense and defense have nodoubt improved significantly. We won't know fasho until we take the field, Jimbo, but what's your take on the post-draft rake? #UntilNextTime
- TitanUp!!
Jim: Good to hear from you, HashtagHoward.
The team did pretty well on your checklist, I think. And, watching the team at practices, I see reasons to be optimistic. I also know this team is a work on progress, in all three phases. It's hard to judge the team by watching guys in t-shirts and shorts. The o-line has something to prove, and that will go all the way up to Week 1 and beyond. I think the defense will be solid, but the team has a lot of new faces, and a new scheme. I know a lot of Titans fans are excited about what's on the horizon, but you're right, we won't know fasho until the games start. #DontBeAStranger
Eric King from New Albany, Mississippi
Question: Hi Jim. This question is stretch but what's ur thoughts on trading for AJ Brown?? Him not being a Titan to this day, that was Jon Robinson's not so smart decision that shocked everyone. Disappointing ALL Titans fans. If I'm not mistaking it caught Miss Amy off guard too which led to his firing after that Eagles game the following season. We have the cap space and I'd trade a 1, maybe a 2 & 5 for him. I could be wrong but I don't think him OR Derrick Henry (had to throw that in *thanks Ran 👎🏾) wanted to leave Tennessee so I feel he'd come back ready to put in work. What do you think and thanks for the work you put in for us fans.
Jim: Hey Eric. I wouldn't get my hopes up on this…
Edward McKinney from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: Hello Jim! I love the draft picks. The GM is definitely building a team that will soon be competing. Although I am optimistic that we will play better this coming season, I have some concerns with the size of our starting DTs. While John Franklin-Myers is a great player, but he is on the smaller size at 288lbs. Jeffery Simmons played well with large DTs next him. He played at 305 lbs. Do you think the Titan's run defense will be susceptible this year, particularly when facing heavy power-run teams with very large O-linemen (i.e., 325 - 335 lbs. range)?
Jim: Hey Edward. Keep in mind this is a different scheme than previous years, so guys will be asked to do different things. I think this team will be built to be better across the board on defense, including stopping the run. It's going to take the d-line, but the team is also going to lean on some fast, attacking linebackers.
Beau Siddens from Covington, Indiana
Question: Hey Jim, There's a lot to be excited about this year. I've been watching old clips of the Oilers to get a feel for the new uniforms. Warren Moon and Cam have a lot of similarities in their field presence. There's been a ton of improvement over the past few months. I can't express enough how much of an improvement Mike Borgonzi has been for us. He's really done a spectacular job and doesn't get enough credit. He's assembled a competitive roster, (UFDAs included), a great staff, and seems to love what he's doing.
Could you please thank him/tell him we appreciate him, on the behalf of the fans at the next press conference?
We appreciate you more. But we tell you all the time 😉 Thanks for what you do man, much appreciated. TITAN UP!!!
Jim: Appreciate it, Beau. I'll spread the word.
Tanner Barnes from Cozad, Nebraska
Question: Hello I'm a huge Titans fan and I play football. My question is: Why don't the Titans have a red jersey with blue accents as an alternate jersey when they go against division rivals or home openers. Because I think it would cool to make a jersey for a pro team and have it named after me or something I like. But I know that it is a lot of money to make them for the players and then make some to sell to the public.
Jim: Haven't heard anything about red jerseys, but if I catch wind of it, I'll tell them to name them the Tanner Reds...
John Barrera from Concord, North Carolina
Question: How do you think the Titans will do in 2026 as they six teams with playoff records. Will the Titans improved this year?
Jim: Hey John. The Titans will be improved, but I'm not going to make any bold predictions in here. We'll just have to wait and see. But I think the coaching staff and the roster are both improved.
Anthony Anthamatten from Destin, Florida
Question: Hi Jim. Coach Dave McGinnis was truly special—not just in the football world, but as a person. I was sorry to hear of his passing, and I always appreciated his insight, energy, and genuine love for the game.
Do you think the team might do something to honor him—perhaps a "CM" on the uniforms or another tribute? He seemed to touch so many people with his enthusiasm and kindness, and it would be fitting to see that recognized.
Jim: I do think Coach Mac will be honored in different ways moving forward. He was a special guy, one of the most popular guys I've ever been around.
Garrett Jones from Kingsport, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim, I appreciate the work you do! Now that the buzz of new uniforms has died I'm finally getting around to asking about them, do you know if the Titans plan on wearing blue over blue? I think it's the only combination not displayed at the release.
Jim: Hey Garrett. For the most part, I think you'll see blue over white, white over white, and white over light blue. You'll have to keep an eye out for the BritchesReport this fall…
Bobby Mcbroom from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: Can. The Titans make. The playoffs this year. And win the afc south. Champion. Bobby mcbroom titans up
Jim: Well, we started out with HashtagHoward, and we're ending with Bobby the. Period. Man. I believe it's a possibility, but as we said at the beginning of this mailbag, there are a lot of unanswered questions in May.
Have a great weekend everyone!
