WRIGHT LEADS TEAM AGAIN: For the third consecutive week, rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright led the Titans in receptions. The first-round pick totaled a career-high nine receptions for 66 yards at Minnesota. Wright previously led the team with seven catches against Detroit (9/23) and four at Houston (9/30). His season total of 27 receptions leads the club as well.
McCARTHY AND BRITT BACK FROM ANKLE INJURIES: Linebacker Colin McCarthy and wide receiver Kenny Britt were back on the field against the Vikings after missing time with ankle injuries. McCarthy was back in the lineup for the first time since spraining an ankle in the first half of the season opener against New England on Sept. 9. He was credited with six tackles in his return. Britt's first game back from a 2011 knee injury was Sept. 16 at San Diego. He sprained his ankle the following week against the Lions and was inactive at Houston (Sept. 30). At Minnesota, Britt posted two receptions for 23 yards.
ANOTHER STRONG SHOWING FOR KERN: On six punts at Minnesota, Brett Kern averaged 42.7 yards with three placed inside the 20. He netted 42.8 yards per punt, marking his eighth consecutive game with a net average of 41.0 or greater, dating back to Dec. 18, 2011 at Indianapolis. Prior to the current run, the longest previous streak of his career with a 41-plus net average was three games (twice, last Oct. 18-31, 2010).
WIMBLEY PLAYS IN 100TH GAME: Defensive end Kamerion Wimbleyappeared in his 100th career regular season game.
WASHINGTON TIES JEFFIRES: On the Titans' first series, wide receiver Nate Washington caught a 12-yard pass to extend his streak to 67 games with at least one reception, including all 53 games as a member of the Titans. That ties Washington with Haywood Jeffires for the fourth-longest such streak in franchise history.
BABINEAUX CONVERTS ON FIRST CAREER RUSH, ADDS INTERCEPTION: With the Titans facing a fourth-and-one in the first quarter, they brought the punt team on the field. However, Jordan Babineaux took a direct snap and raced 10 yards for a first down. It was the first career rushing attempt for Babineaux. Later, on Minnesota's opening drive of the second half, Babineaux picked off a Christian Ponder pass to record his 12th career interception (first of season).
ROBERT JOHNSON RECORDS INTERCEPTION: Late in the first half, safety Robert Johnson ended a threat by the Vikings with his first career interception, picking off a Christian Ponder pass at the two-yard line. It was Johnson's first career interception.
COOK GETS SECOND TD OF SEASON: In the fourth quarter, tight end Jared Cook recorded his sixth career touchdown reception and his second of the season on a 10-yard pass from Matt Hasselbeck.
HASSELBECK'S 197TH CAREER TOUCHDOWN: Matt Hasselbeck's 10-yard touchdown pass to Jared Cook in the fourth quarter was his third touchdown pass of the season and the 197th of his career.
INACTIVES: The Titans' seven inactive players against the Lions were quarterback Jake Locker, running back Jamie Harper, linebacker Patrick Bailey, tackle Mike Otto, guard Deuce Lutui, wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins and defensive end Scott Solomon.
