Titans Training Camp: What Fans Need to Know

190724-camp

Training camp is the best time for fans to get an up-close look at the current Tennessee Titans. It is the only time of the year when practice is open to the public. A total of nine practices are scheduled for fans to watch from July 27 through Aug. 15.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

Admission to practice and parking for fans is free at training camp. Fans attending training camp may park directly across the street from Saint Thomas Sports Park at 445 Great Circle Road. Once those spaces are filled, fans are directed to Ted Rhodes Park Multipurpose Fields at 720 Mainstream Drive, where a complimentary shuttle runs continuously to and from practice. Parking on the property of other area businesses could result in the vehicle being towed.

FAN ENTRY/CLEAR BAG POLICY AT SAINT THOMAS SPORTS PARK

For the safety of fans, security measures are in place at training camp. Before entering the premises, fans must go through a metal detector. Spectators must adhere to the same clear bag policy that is in place for all NFL games, including Titans games at Nissan Stadium. Backpacks, purses, large duffel bags and suitcases are not allowed. More information on the NFL's clear bag policy is available at www.NFL.com/allclear.

Other Items not allowed on the grounds include food and beverages brought from the outside, tobacco products, liquids, coolers, umbrellas, chairs and strollers.

Gates to the practice field generally open 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled practice.

FAN ENTRY AT NISSAN STADIUM

Standard, gameday security, including the NFL's clear bag policy, is in effect for the practice at Nissan Stadium on Aug. 3. For additional information, including visuals of allowed and prohibited items, fans should visit www.NFL.com/allclear.

COLD, FILTERED WATER STATION PROVIDED

Fans are permitted to bring empty water bottles to practice at Saint Thomas Sports Park. A cold, filtered water station is available on the grounds for use free of charge. Cold, non-alcoholic beverages also are available for purchase.

BLEACHER SEATING

Several sets of temporary bleachers surround the fields of Saint Thomas Sports Park. Standing along the sideline fence is discouraged in order to ease traffic flow for fans.

PRACTICE LENGTH

Practices typically last two hours but can run shorter or longer.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY

Fans should dress appropriately for the heat of Middle Tennessee. Training camp practices often take place during the hottest portions of the day, and most bleacher seats are not shaded.

WEATHER POLICY

For the safety of fans, players, media and staff members, practice will be postponed, canceled or moved indoors if stormy weather threatens Saint Thomas Sports Park. For safety reasons, fans will not be allowed to wait at the practice field and will be asked to return to their vehicles. In some cases, practice also could be moved indoors due to extreme heat. All indoor ("bubble") practices are closed to the general public.

AUTOGRAPHS

Every player on the Titans roster takes part in a free autograph session after practice at least once during training camp. Generally, a different group of players are assigned each day, including several recognizable members of the roster, and additional players may choose to sign autographs at their discretion. The players signing autographs on a particular day are not announced in advance. Autographs take place near the south (far) end zone, between the sideline and end zone bleachers. The players' time is limited, however, and fans are not guaranteed to receive autographs from specific players. Autograph sessions are canceled upon inclement weather.

MERCHANDISE AND CONCESSIONS

A Titans Locker Room merchandise trailer is open before, during and after all practices, selling a variety of Titans goods and apparel. The merchandise tent is located at the entrance to the practice field. Additionally, a concession stand selling ice cold Coca-Cola products is open during all practices.

ACCESS TO PRACTICE IS ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS

Although over-crowding is rare at training camp practices, there is a limit to the number of fans who can safely attend practices. Fans arriving first will be given first priority.

KICKOFF PARTY AT NISSAN STADIUM

The Tennessee Titans are inviting fans to join them for the inaugural Kickoff Party presented by Pinnacle on August 3 at Nissan Stadium.
Award-winning country artist Jake Owen will perform an on-field concert for the fans after the Titans fully padded two-hour practice. The night will conclude with a firework display at the conclusion of the concert. The night begins at 6:00 pm with practice.
The event is free and open to the public with no tickets required. Parking in the stadium parking lots will also be free and discounted concession items will be available.
