Saturday, May 31 at LP Field!
New Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt will take part in the race, which starts outside of LP Field and finishes inside the stadium at the 50-yard line. Titans cheerleaders will be on hand to cheer on participants throughout the 3.1-mile course.
The $40 race entry fee includes a commemorative gift and ticket to one of three home division games in 2014 vs. Indianapolis, Houston or Jacksonville. Participants can pick up their race bib/packets and game ticket on Friday, May 30 (2-7 p.m.) in the west club lounge at LP Field or on the day of the race beginning at 6 a.m. until 15 minutes prior to the start.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run, a youth development program for girls in third through eighth grades that teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games to achieve health and fitness.
"This is a great event for fans to come together and celebrate their team in a positive and healthy way," said Don MacLachlan, executive vice president of the Titans. "We're proud to host a 5k that supports the league's commitment to healthy families and also helps a great local charity like Girls on the Run."
The race, sponsored in part by Academy Sports Outdoors, loops runners through downtown Nashville and back inside LP Field, where they will be shown on the video boards and cross the finish line at midfield.
"We're thrilled to see our Titans 5k grow each year as running continues to evolve and reach new participants," added MacLachlan. "The Titans 5k welcomes families and fans of all ages to enjoy a fun day of celebration, while also making the positive choice to get moving and live a healthy lifestyle."
