NASHVILLE – The Titans have signed safety Amani Hooker to a multi-year contract extension.

Since being drafted by the organization in 2019, Hooker has been one of the team's most consistent and reliable players. He was recently elected by his peers as one of the team's captains for this season.

The development comes one day before the team's season opener against the Denver Broncos.

"This is a reflection of all the people that believed in me along the way," Hooker said. "I want to thank Ms. Amy for wanting me to be here, to Chad (Brinker), Mike (Borgonzi) and Coach (Brian Callahan) for supporting me and giving me the opportunity. Most importantly, I want to thank my family and my teammates and those who've been in my corner since the beginning. I'm proud to be a Titan for many more years and look forward to building towards one goal."

In six NFL seasons, Hooker has played in 80 games and totaled 315 tackles, 12 interceptions and 31 passes defensed.

Hooker led the Titans with a career-high five interceptions in 2024 while tying for the team lead with nine passes defensed. In 2023, Hooker started 13 games at safety and he ranked fourth on the team with a career-best 80 tackles and finished second on the squad with seven passes defensed.

During the franchise's "Titans era," which began in 1999, Hooker's 12 interceptions are the ninth-most for the team and rank fourth among the club's safeties.

Kickoff for Sunday's game at Empower Field at Mile High is set for 3:05 p.m. CDT.
