Titans Select Six Captains for 2022 Season

NASHVILLE – The Titans have selected six captains for the 2022 season.

Head coach Mike Vrabel made the news public during the Mike Vrabel Show on Titans Radio on Monday night. Vrabel informed the players of their vote prior to practice on Monday.

The six players elected:

-Quarterback Ryan Tannehill

-Running back Derrick Henry

-Center Ben Jones

-Safety Kevin Byard

-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons

-OLB and special teams ace Ola Adeniyi

-Tannehill was previously voted a captain in 2020 and 2021.

-Henry was previously voted a captain in 2020 and 2021.

-Jones was previously voted a captain in 2019.

-Byard was previously voted a captain in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

-Simmons was previously voted a captain in 2021.

-Adeniyi is a first-time captain.

Vrabel talked to Titans Vice President of Broadcasting Mike Keith about the captains during Monday's night show.

"That's three offense, two defense and a special teams (player)," Vrabel said.
