NASHVILLE – Titans running back Julius Chestnut has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Sunday's win over the Colts.
Chestnut tied for the team lead with two special teams stops on coverage units against the Colts.
But Chestnut's biggest play came in the fourth quarter when he blocked a Rigoberto Sanchez punt that was scooped up by Oluwafemi Oladejo and returned 14 yards for a touchdown to give the Titans a 20-13 lead in the fourth quarter. The Titans won the game 26-20.
This is the franchise's 40th AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award and marks the seventh consecutive year a Titans player has received the honor.
Chestnut leads the Titans with five special teams tackles through six games.
