NASHVILLE – Cam Ward has experienced a lot of firsts in his rookie season.

This Sunday won't be one of them.

In Indianapolis, the Titans quarterback will be facing the Colts for the second time this season.

Ward believes the previous experience will help him in his preparation.

"I think it helps me a lot, especially in regards to just the blitz packages that I can get to," Ward said. "They did it to the Chargers last week. They did to the Rams and Matt Stafford a couple of times. So, just got to know where the protection is sliding every play, every pass play. Then you just got make the right read from there."

Ward completed 23-of-38 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the September 21 meeting vs Indianapolis at Nissan Stadium, won 41-20 by the Colts.

Ward is coming off a game against the Patriots when he completed 25-of-34 passes for 255 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

Ward's 73.5 completion percentage, 7.50 yards per attempt, 14 passing first downs and 92.2 passer rating were his best marks through his first seven starts.

Ward believes he's improving, although he's still upset about his turnovers.

He's also tired of losing, and wants to see progress.

"I've lost at every stop I was at," Ward said. "So, the biggest thing is: How can we get better, faster? I think that's the biggest point where I'm trying to get to. And then we also got to make plays just throughout the game. It can't just be at spurts at times, we just got to be consistent."
