NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have informed defensive lineman Sylvester Williams that he will be released.

Williams, a five-year veteran, was signed by the Titans last March in free agency.

Williams played in 15 games for the Titans in 2017, with 11 starts. He finished the season with 26 tackles, three quarterback pressures and four tackles for a loss, with no sacks.

Williams played his first four NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos. He was the 28th overall selection of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Broncos, where he started 48 games and tallied 94 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

On Friday, the Titans released defensive lineman Karl Klug.
