NASHVILLE – The Titans made a number of roster moves on Tuesday, ahead of the team's upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills.
-Tackle Ty Sambrailo has been placed on the Reserve-Retired list.
-Punter Brett Kern has been placed on the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Also on Tuesday, the Titans waived defensive lineman Woodrow Hamilton from the active roster while signing two players to the practice squad – offensive linemen Derwin Gray and James Murray.
Sambrailo, in his seventh NFL season, joined the Titans as a free agent prior to the 2020 season. He previously spent time with the Broncos and Falcons in the NFL. Sambrailo appeared in 10 games, with five starts at left tackle, in 2020 before suffering a knee injury that resulted in him being placed on Injured Reserve. Sambrailo played in four games this season, including one start.
Johnny Townsend has punted for the Titans the last two games in place of Kern, who has missed the past two games with a right groin injury.
The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. If a player falls into either of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Titans face the Bills next Monday at Nissan Stadium.
