Titans Place LB Monty Rice on Injured Reserve

NASHVILLE – The Titans have placed linebacker Monty Rice on Injured Reserve.

Rice suffered an ankle injury on Sunday vs the Patriots, and his game was cut short after playing in just 19 snaps.

A third-round pick by the Titans in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Georgia, Rice has played in 10 games for the Titans this season, with four starts.

Because of injuries, the Titans have been playing in recent weeks without inside linebackers Rashaan Evans and David Long Jr., which forced Rice into a bigger role. Rice has been credited with 30 tackles on the season.

Also on Tuesday, the Titans waived receiver Austin Mack from the team's practice squad.

The Titans have a bye this weekend. The team is scheduled to return to action on Sunday, December 12 against the Jaguars at Nissan Stadium.
