NASHVILLE – Titans linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. been named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for the month of September.
It was quite a month for Hill, who was selected in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of Texas.
After earning a starting spot for the Titans, Hill tallied a team-high 34 tackles, along with two quarterback pressures and two passes defensed, in three games in September.
Hill led the Titans with 16 tackles and two passes defensed in his NFL debut in Week 1 vs the Jets, becoming the first NFL player with 16 sacks and two passes defensed in his first game since 2000.
Hill then led the Titans with 10 tackles in Week 2 against the Eagles. His 26 tackles in two games tied him with the most tackles by a Titans player through two games of a season since 2000, tying Keith Bulluck.
This past Sunday, Hill tallied eight tackles against the Giants. His 34-tackle total through three games is the second-highest total by a Titans player through three games in a season since 2000. Only Akeem Ayers had more tackles for the Titans through three games (37 in 2012).
The Titans return to action this Sunday at the Baltimore Ravens.
