NASHVILLE – The Titans will be without a handful of players on Wednesday as they begin preparations for Sunday's game at the San Francisco 49ers.

Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy said defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, guard Kevin Zeitler, edge Jihad Ward, tight end Chig Okonkwo and running back Tony Pollard will all be given the day off today for rest.

Meanwhile, defensive lineman CJ Ravenell won't practice because of a toe injury, while linebacker James Williams Sr. went home with an illness.

McCoy did not mention cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis or center Lloyd Cushenberry, who missed Sunday's game in Cleveland with injuries.

We'll update all the injuries after today's practice, which is scheduled for 12:15-1:45 p.m. at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park.

The first injury report of the week will be released later today.
