NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- As part of the NFL's Salute to Service month, the Titans recently hosted more than 60 Soldiers from Fort Campbell at Saint Thomas Sports Park for 7-on-7 flag football tournament. Six teams representing the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault and 5th Special Forces Group competed in the tournament, with the team from 2nd Brigade Combat Team ultimately taking home the championship trophy and football signed by Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel.

The tournament was held in partnership with USO Fort Campbell. Each of the participating teams also competes in the Moral Welfare Recreation (MWR) Flag Football Intramural League on Fort Campbell.

In between games, the Soldiers were able to visit with Titans safety Johnathan Cyprien, as well as Titans cheerleaders and T-Rac.

This was the Titans' second year hosting a military flag football tournament during Salute to Service week, although it was the first time the event was held at Saint Thomas Sports Park. In 2017, the organization traveled to hold the event on base at Fort Campbell High School.

"We are so very appreciative of the local collaboration between USO Fort Campbell/Nashville and the Tennessee Titans," said Pamela Holz, Center Operations & Programs Manager for USO Nashville and USO Fort Campbell. "It is such a privilege to work together with the Titans staff to put on events like the flag football tournament to show thanks and support to our Fort Campbell Soldiers."

Members of the Titans organization make several visits to Fort Campbell each year, and the flag football tournament served as a way for the team to provide an afternoon of fun for the military members who make countless sacrifices as part of their commitment to service.

"It's important to us that the Soldiers know how much we appreciate the sacrifices that they make. This is an opportunity for us to say thank you and continue to build on the relationship that we've established with Fort Campbell and all the soldiers there," said Josh Corey, Titans Football Outreach Coordinator.
