NASHVILLE – Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has been named first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.
Simmons has some company on the list: Titans return man Chimere Dike has been named first-team All-Pro as well.
It's quite an accomplishment for the Tennessee duo.
And, it marks the first time since 2008 the Titans have had multiple first team members.
"I am going to try not to cry over here," an emotional Simmons said to AP after learning the news. "I am at a loss for words. I made that commitment this offseason to where it just wasn't the on the field stuff for me, but it was being consistent and changing my mindset off the field. … And it's paid off."
Simmons, in his seventh NFL season, recorded a career-high 11 sacks in 2025, when he also recorded 60 quarterback pressures, 67 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles.
Simmons broke Jurrell Casey's mark (10.5 sacks in 2013) for the most sacks in a season by a Titans defensive tackle in the franchise's "Titans era" (1999 to present).
In the last 10 seasons (2016 to 2025), Simmons (2025) and Aaron Donald (2021) are the only NFL defensive tackles to produce at least 10 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and three passes defensed in a single season.
Simmons is a five-time captain, a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time Community Man of the Year winner for the Titans. Simmons was named second team All-Pro in 2021 and 2022.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Simmons was just named to his fourth Pro Bowl just last month.
Dike, also named a Pro Bowler in 2025, has also been recognized for his stellar rookie season. He made the All-Pro team as a punt returner, while Buffalo's Ray Davis was selected as the team's kick returner.
"That's one I think every player wants, to be All-Pro one day," Dike told AP after learning the news. "And that was one of the goals I set in the beginning of the season for my career. So to be able to be that in my first year, I am just thankful coach Bones (John Fassel) had belief in me, and I am excited just to keep building."
Dike is the franchise's first 1st team rookie All-Pro since tackle Jack Conklin in 2016 and he's the franchise's fourth rookie to earn first-team AP All-Pro honors since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger (Earl Campbell, 1978; Jevon Kearse, 1999; and Conklin).
Dike totaled 2,427 all-purpose yards in 2025, including 1,588 kickoff return yards, 398 punt return yards, 423 receiving yards and 18 rushing yards. His total ranked third in franchise history for all-purpose yards in a season behind Derrick Mason's 2,690 all-purpose yards in 2000 and Chris Johnson's 2,509 yards in 2009.
Dike established the all-time NFL rookie record for all-purpose yards and had the most all-purpose yards in a season by any NFL player since Darren Sproles in 2011, who set the NFL record with 2,696 yards. He broke the franchise record for single-season punt return average. He totaled 398 yards on 23 returns for an average of 17.3 yards per punt return. That number eclipsed Billy "White Shoes" Johnson's mark of 15.4 yards per return (35 for 539 yards) in 1977.
With a punt return average of 17.3 yards and a kickoff return average of 25.6 yards, Dike became the NFL's first player since Detroit's Jack Christiansen in 1952 (21.5 punt return average and 25.6 kickoff return average) to qualify with an average 17.0+ yards per punt return and 25.0+ yards per kickoff return in a season. With 1,588 kickoff return yards in 2025, he moved into third place in NFL history among rookies, in front of the New York Jets' Justin Miller (1,577 in 2005). Only Arizona's Josh Scobey (1,684 in 2003) for second place and the Raiders' Chris Carr (1,752 in 2005) had more kickoff return yards as rookies than Dike.
Dike became the first player since 1952 to qualify with an average of 17.0-plus yards per punt return and 25.0-plus yards per kick return in the same season.
Dike also finished second on the Titans offense with 48 receptions in 2025 to go along with 423 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns, and he led the Titans in 2025 with six total touchdowns.
By the way, the four first team All-Pros for the Titans in 2008: Cortland Finnegan, Albert Haynesworth, Kevin Mawae and Michael Roos.
