NASHVILLE – Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has been named the Week 17 NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Community MVP for his work in the community.
Simmons hosted a week-long series of events during the holiday season, continuing his work through his Give 'Em a Reason Foundation.
"I'm honored to be named the NFLPA Community MVP," Simmons said. "This recognition reflects the incredible work that is being done in our amazing community. I'm grateful to continue to use my platform to be a light in my community."
Back on December 16, Simmons welcomed four high school seniors from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee to Men's Wearhouse, where each student received a custom-tailored suit to support milestone moments ahead, including prom, college interviews and signing days.
The week prior, Simmons hosted 20 Big Brothers Big Sisters matches at Academy Sports + Outdoors, providing each child with $400 to shop for apparel, gear and essentials of their choice.
Earlier, Simmons made a visit to Hunters Lane High School earlier that day and donated $5,000 to sponsor its girls' flag football team. The funds will cover their uniforms, equipment, fees and transportation.
Simmons, the team's Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee for the third time, also earned NFLPA Community MVP honors during Week 12 of the 2023 season after gifting more than 500 Nashville families with turkeys for Thanksgiving.
