Former Oilers linebacker Rayna Stewart rejoins the franchise as a defensive assistant on the coaching staff.
NASHVILLE, TN, Feb. 24, 2009 — The Tennessee Titans added Rayna Stewart as a defensive assistant – quality control.

Stewart rejoins the Titans after spending two seasons at Northwestern University as a defensive graduate assistant. During the Titans training camp last summer, Stewart worked with the coaching staff as part of the NFL's Minority Coaching Fellowship program. Prior to joining Northwestern's staff, he spent six seasons coaching in the high school ranks, including a stop at Centennial H.S. in Brentwood, Tenn.

Stewart was a fifth round pick of the Houston Oilers in 1996, where he played two seasons before joining Miami (1998) and Jacksonville (1999-2000). During his five year NFL career, he played in 71 games and recorded two interceptions as a defensive back and special teams standout.
