NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans are asking fans to show up in record numbers with new and/or used coats of all sizes and both genders during the team's annual coat drive on Sunday, Oct. 20th vs. San Francisco at 3 p.m.

Fans are asked to bring coats to the game and drop them off in the specially marked collection sites located near each of the stadium entrances with collections starting at 1 p.m. through kickoff.

The coats will be collected by volunteers from the YMCA's Black Achievers program. This city-wide program consists of high school students of both genders. The mission of the organization is to encourage and motivate youth to make positive social, educational, career and personal goals.

On Tuesday following the drive, volunteers will sort and then distribute the coats to area non-profit agencies that serve those in need in Middle Tennessee. Last season's coat drive collected approximately 2,500 new and used coats that were donated to various local charities.

Agencies receiving coats this year are Bethlehem Center of Nashville, Campus for Human Development, Catholic Charities, East Nashville Cooperative Mission, Magness Potter Center, Martha O'Bryan Center, Nashville Drug Court Support Foundation, Nashville Rescue Mission, Radical Mission, Salvation Army, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital's Patient Clothing Closet and the YWCA.

"Our fans have always been incredibly supportive of our efforts to assist our charitable drive partners," said Bob Hyde, Titans VP-Community Relations. "The forecast for game day is sunny and temperatures in the mid-60s, but with November just around the corner, the average daily low will dip to the 30s. The timing of our drive gives us the opportunity to distribute these coats prior to the weather turning cold when thousands of our neighbors are currently without warm coats for the coming winter months.

Three additional game day charity drives remain on the Titans 2013 schedule after Sunday's coat drive.  Those drives follow:

Nov. 10 vs Jacksonville - Cell Phones for Soldiers

Nov. 14 vs Indianapolis - Second Harvest Food Drive

Dec. 15 vs Arizona - U. S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Drive
