NASHVILLE – The Titans announced their 2025 team captains on Wednesday at the Captains Dinner at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Nashville.
The team's seven captains for the upcoming season:
-QB Cam Ward.
-WR Calvin Ridley.
-RB Tony Pollard.
-DT Jeffery Simmons.
-S Amani Hooker.
-LB Cody Barton.
-LS Morgan Cox.
After a vote, the announcement was made in front of the full team, fans, and guests at the event.
Ward, the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has already shown great leadership skills, even as a rookie.
Ridley is heading into his seventh NFL season, and his second with the Titans. Same for Pollard, a seventh-year pro who is also beginning his second year with the team. They've been tone-setters for their position groups, and the offense.
This is the fifth consecutive season Simmons has been named a team captain, and the third consecutive honor for Cox.
Barton has emerged as a vocal leader in his first year in Tennessee after playing previously in Seattle, Washington and Denver, and he's expected to be a big contributor on the field this fall.
The group was voted on by their teammates for their leadership.
Each captain will wear a "C" patch on their jersey this season with stars underneath to indicate their years as a team captain. Simmons' "C" will be in gold to recognize five or more years served as a team captain.
Proceeds from the Captains Dinner support the work of the Titans Foundation and ONE Community, the Titans' multi-faceted philanthropic platform that reaches many of Nashville's most underrepresented and marginalized communities with a focus on three areas – Opportunity, Neighborhoods and Education.
The Titans have binding partnership agreements with each ONE Community organization supported, and a six-member advisory committee to help foster growth and provide accountability, oversight, and reporting measures. The Titans kick off the 2025 season on September 7 at Denver.
