Titans Agree to Terms with DB Doug Middleton

NASHVILLE – The Titans have agreed to terms with defensive back Doug Middleton.

Also, the team waived offensive lineman Avery Gennesy.

Middleton, who played collegiately at Appalachian State, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent back in 2016.

Middleton (6-0, 210) spent three seasons with the Jets (2016-18) before stints with the Dolphins and Jaguars during the 2019 season. Middleton spent Weeks 13-15 on the Jaguars' practice squad in 2019 before being promoted to the active roster.

In 14 career NFL games, Middleton has 34 career tackles and four career passes defensed.

At Appalachian State, Middleton appeared in 37 games, totaling 173 tackles (113 solo), 16 passes defensed, six interceptions and two forced fumbles.
