NASHVILLE – The Titans have promoted running back Dalyn Dawkins from the practice squad to the active roster in time for Sunday's game against the Saints.
To make room on the 53-man roster, the Titans waived linebacker Sharif Finch.
Also on Saturday, the Titans downgraded running back Derrick Henry to questionable for Sunday's game with a hamstring injury. Henry practiced in full on Friday and was not listed with an injury designation.
The Titans originally signed Dawkins as a rookie free agent following the 2018 NFL Draft. The 5-foot-7-inch, 183-pounder spent majority of his rookie season on the practice squad with two stints on the active roster from Weeks 3-5 and Weeks 11-13.
Dawkins played in the team's game at Denver earlier this season and ran for two yards on two carries. Dawkins, who played at Colorado State, ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the team's preseason finale against the Bears this season.
In three seasons at Colorado State, Dawkins rushed 557 times for 3,185 yards and 14 touchdowns and added 70 receptions for 650 yards and three touchdowns.
Dawkins joined running backs Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis and running back/fullback Khari Blasingame on the 53-man roster. Lewis (ankle) appeared on the Injury Report during the week, but he practiced in full on Friday and was not listed with an injury designation.
Finch has played in eight games, with three starts, during the 2019 season after playing in 15 games during the 2018 season. Finch's 2019 totals include 13 tackles, two sacks and a quarterback sack. He tallied 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2018.
The Titans face the Saints on Sunday at noon at Nissan Stadium.
