Titans Activate Punter Brett Kern From Reserve/COVID-19 List

NASHVILLE – The Titans on Friday activated punter Brett Kern from the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Kern is eligible to return to Saint Thomas Sports Park, and resume practicing with the team.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Kern punted in the team's first two games this season before suffering a groin injury leading up to the Week 4 contest against the Jets. He then went on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, which forced him to miss another game.

Kern is averaging 47.8 yards per punt, with a 42.0-yard net, on six punts.

The Titans signed punter Johnny Townsend to handle the punting duties in Kern's absence, and he was waived earlier this week.

The Titans face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
