Three Titans – Jurrell Casey, Taylor Lewan and Brett Kern – Selected to Pro Bowl Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three Titans have been selected to play in this year's Pro Bowl, and all of them know the way.

Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, left tackle Taylor Lewan and punter Brett Kern have all once again been selected as Pro Bowlers.

The Titans have also been informed four other players (in no particular order) are alternates: safety Kevin Byard, quarterback Marcus Mariota, running back Derrick Henry, and linebacker Wesley Woodyard.

This year's Pro Bowl will be played on January 27, 2019 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Casey will be playing in his fourth Pro Bowl after turning down two previous trips as an alternate. He's the first player in the "Titans era" to make four consecutive Pro Bowls.

It will be Lewan's third straight Pro Bowl trip. He's been selected to more Pro Bowls than some of the best tackles in Titans history, more than Brad Hopkins (2) and Michael Roos (1).

Kern, meanwhile, will also make the trip for the second time. He also went in 2017, when his gross punting average (49.7) ranked eighth in NFL history.

There's a chance other Titans could join the three selected at the Pro Bowl. A year ago the Titans had six players at the Pro Bowl after three players later joined the initial three as alternates.

Casey has 68 tackles on the season, along with seven quarterback sacks and 47.5 pressures. A five-time captain and the team's Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, Casey ranks sixth in franchise history with 46 career sacks.

Lewan, who signed a new contract prior to the start of the season, is part of an offensive line that's paved the way for Henry to rush for 408 yards and six touchdowns over the past two weeks. On the season, Henry has 882 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Kern is averaging 47.5 yards a punt, with a 41.3-yard net. He's put 29 punts inside the 20-yard line, and he's coming off a game against the Giants when he placed all five of his punts inside the 20.

The Pro Bowlers are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. During the fan voting portion, none of the Titans selected made the top 10 at their respective positions.
