Ten Things I Noticed About First Titans Depth Chart

NASHVILLE – The Titans released the team's first unofficial depth chart on Monday, heading into Thursday's preseason opener against the Eagles.

I fully expect head coach Mike Vrabel to downplay the depth chart when asked about it today after practice, and I get it. The reality is teams are required to release a depth chart at this time, and it's early in camp.

But at first glance, ten things that stood out to me (aside from the fact all the draft picks are listed as third-teamers at the start):

-The team went to a three-wide listing at receiver, with Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Taywan Taylor listed as the starters. Darius Jennings, Tajae Sharpe and Cody Hollister are listed as second team, ahead of A.J. Brown and Kalif Raymond, among others.

-Taylor Lewan is listed as the first team left tackle, although a looming suspension figures to see Dennis Kelly playing there in Week 1 at Cleveland.

-Kevin Pamphile is listed as the first team right guard, ahead of Jamil Douglas and rookie Nate Davis.

-The first team o-line looks like this: Taylor Lewan (LT), Rodger Saffold (LG), Ben Jones (C), Kevin Pamphile (RG) and Jack Conklin (RT).

-Jeremy McNichols is listed as the fourth running back behind Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis and David Fluellen, ahead of Dalyn Dawkins and Alex Barnes.

-DaQuan Jones is listed as the starting nose tackle, ahead of Austin Johnson. Jones was listed as an end last year. Brent Urban is a starting defensive end, opposite Jurrell Casey.

-Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown are listed as the starting inside linebackers, ahead of veteran Wesley Woodyard.

-Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan are listed as the starting cornerbacks. Joshau Kalu is listed as the No.2 free safety behind Kevin Byard, ahead of draft pick Amani Hooker.

-Adam Humphries is listed as the starter at punt returner, ahead of Adoree' Jackson and Kalif Raymond.

-Darius Jennings is listed as the starter at kickoff returner, ahead of Adoree' Jackson and Dion Lewis.
