The Titans offense seemed to just stall in the second half with just six points.
I don't really know. but like I said, we have just got to find a way to work through adversity and keep our feet on the gas. Things are going to come up all the time. It's not about what comes up, and it's about what you work through. It's all about the ultimate goal of winning.
26 points two months ago, for you guys, that would have been something to hang your hat on. But today, 26 points just wasn't enough. It kind of shows how far you guys have come.
It's definitely growth. It's not all something to be mad at, but we got to finish. We've got to find a way to score more than 34 points, or whatever they score. So, we've got to score of 35, 36, you know, so we have got to find a way to win the game.
It's been a long time since this team strung together back-to-back wins, and to have that opportunity slide through your fingers. That one's got to hurt.
Yeah, it's definitely, things that we all could have done better. But it happened and we have got to learn from it and move on.
How do you look at next week in terms of maybe correcting the way you guys played today, and finishing with some kind of final statement or takeaway?
You just never know how things may look next year. You never know how things are going to look tomorrow. You just have to put your best foot forward. We're going down there with the mindset to win. We're going to do everything in our power to win. Whether it's come to preparation, practice, all the habits that we have got to carry o to next week, that's what we're going to do.
Given how hard you guys played throughout the month of December, with an interim head coach, and obviously the record being what it is, what does it say about the character of this team?
It says a lot about the character because I don't think there's a soul in here has got a 'give up' factor in him. It says a little about the people they've got around here. It says lot about the coaches. It says about everything. It's like, we ain't giving up.
How bad did you want to win against the hometown team?
Yeah, I did.
