How did it feel to get a Christmas present with a home win today?
Man, this was big for us, especially doing it at home, slowly toward the end of the season, kind of building that momentum, just carrying it into this game and just coming out with a win, that was big for us.
I know Jeff (Simmons) and a lot of the veterans have been preaching complementary football, did it feel like that today, getting it from all three phases today?
Definitely, it felt like we did a good job playing off each other. Feeding off of the momentum from either side, whether it's special teams, or whether it's offense, or whether it's defense, just playing off of each other.
How would you say Cam (Ward) did running the offense today, looked like maybe his most efficient game of the year?
He's doing a better job, week in and week out, just getting better with his decision-making. Just little things that you just watch film and see that he's getting better week after week.
How much fun you have running behind this offensive line because the last three weeks or last several weeks, the running game has really looked good?
I mean, when those guys move people off the ball like that, they make my job easy. It's easy for me to get the spotlight and recognition. But without them up front doing the dirty work, none of this would be happening.
Third straight week hat you guys have had the commitment to run. I think the final number of total carries today for you guys was 40. I mean, how effective can you guys be when the commitment is there?
I mean, that's just us finding our identity in this offense. Figuring out what we do best, and what gets us going, what allows us to put points on the board, and that's what we're doing right now.
How good does it feel just here toward the end of the season and your play is really getting stronger? What does that say?
It's just controlling what you can control and trying to finish on a high note, a positive. I know we had a lot of downs in this season, a lot ups and downs, but just trying to control what we can control on these last few games and just go out fighting.
You personally, how good do you feel seeing that you're able to be so productive at this time of year?
It feels good, especially in December, playing football. This is when you want to play your best ball anyway. So, it just shows that we have something going here and we have to build off of it.
It's a 100-yard game for you in three straight. You've never done that in your NFL career. How rewarding is something like that, especially with how the year started?
I mean, it's very rewarding. It's something that we've been working on all year, trying to get the run game going and now toward the back end of the season, we're starting to get that momentum going and build our identity around it.
Your first home win, I think it's been 412 days, I think you've had a child born since then?
Yeah, it's been a long time, so this win here at home for us today was huge. For the fans, for the owners, for the players, for everybody in the locker room, it was big.
