(Take us through the long run, I know you wanted to score but obviously came up a little short. But still, how were you able to get out in the open field like that?)
"The o-line did a great job. Coach came up with a great call on that play. Everybody blocked their man up, cleared the lane for me and I ended up finding it. Just being patient and then I ended up hitting it. I shouldn't have looked back. I should have just kept running. I know I would have been in the end zone."
(With you breaking off that long run and then RB Tyjae Spears coming in and cleaning up for the score, is that what we should expect, like the way your tandem can produce?)
"Definitely. Just keeping us fresh. Keeping a fresh back in there, keeping the defense on their heels."
(How would you describe the feeling in here after the game?)
"There's a lot of energy, a lot of excitement. Guys are excited because we worked so hard throughout the week. We push ourselves every day at practice even though the outcomes haven't been what we wanted. Just having this win for us today was big and we're just going to keep going from here."
