211007-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Some quick hits after Thursday's practice:

-Outside linebacker Bud Dupree, held out of the past two games with a knee injury, was back on the practice field on Thursday for Titans. Dupree was listed as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday.

Before practice, Dupree admitted when speaking to reporters he might've rushed himself back to soon. Now he's focused on getting healthy, and he feels like he's getting closer.

He didn't rule out the possibility of playing this Sunday, in fact.

"I rushed it and let my pride get in the way," Dupree said. "I should have waited a little longer, but I was so eager to get out on the field. I had to put my pride down and put my pride to the side and realize it was my choice. It was my mistake."

"I'm going to train as hard as I can because I need to get back on the field. I'm just trying to get back as quick as I can now. It's only week five. We've got 17 games. I need to make sure I'm ready for the stretch when this team really needs me. I want to make sure I can give it my all and not have any setbacks at all."

-Receiver A.J. Brown, who didn't play against the Jets because of a hamstring injury, practiced for the second straight day on Thursday. Brown was listed as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday.

-Receiver Julio Jones, who didn't play against the Jets because of a hamstring injury, didn't practice once again on Thursday.

-Cornerback Caleb Farley, who has missed the last three games with a shoulder injury, was also back on the practice field on Thursday for the second straight day. He was listed as a full participant for the second straight day.

-Punter Brett Kern, who didn't play vs the Jets because of a right groin injury, did not practice again Thursday. Punter Johnny Townsend, who handled the punting duties against the Jets, practiced on Thursday.

-Left tackle Taylor Lewan, who left Sunday's game with an ankle injury but later returned, did not practice again on Thursday. Lewan is listed with a "toe" in the Injury Report. He also appeared on last week's report with the toe, but he started the contest against the Jets.

-Guard Rodger Saffold, who left Sunday's game because of concussion symptoms, was on the practice field again on Thursday, this time as a full participant. Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said on Wednesday Saffold remains in the concussion protocol.

-Linebacker Rashaan Evans (quad) practiced again on Thursday. Evans was a full participant after being limited on Wednesday.

-Running back Darrynton Evans, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier in the day, practiced with the team on Thursday for the second time during the regular season.

Receiver Marcus Johnson and defensive Brady Breeze, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last week, also practiced again on Thursday.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

-Offensive lineman Aaron Brewer (knee) did not practice again on Thursday.

-Linebacker Jayon Brown (knee) did not practice again on Thursday.

-Center Ben Jones (shoulder) practiced again on Thursday. He was limited for the second straight day.

-Tight end Tommy Hudson (ankle) did not practice again on Thursday.

-Running back Derrick Henry got the day off.

-The Jaguars released their second Injury Report on Thursday, and it looked like this: DL Roy Robertson-Harris (ankle) did not practice, OLB Lerente McCray (hamstring) was limited, CB Tyson Campbell (toe) was limited, and RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) was a full participant.

-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Friday before traveling to Jacksonville on Saturday for Sunday's game.
