QB Kyle Trask

(On his performance tonight)

"I thought I did a good job staying within the rhythm of the game -- trying to stay as consistent as possible. [I was not] trying to do anything special -- just play within the scheme -- try to limit the negative plays, don't turn the ball over, and just keep the ball moving forward."

(On the play where he completed a 21-yard pass to WR Ryan Miller)

"Those are the best moments as a quarterback, to be honest. When you stand in there and get through your progression. That is when you get those big hits; when you are able to stand in there and the guys can open up for you down the field. Felt great -- it was one of those where you throw it and you are like, 'either the crowd is going to cheer or they are not,' and if the other sideline starts cheering, that is terrible. It was one of those where the crowd started cheering and I was on the ground like, 'alright, that probably went well.' I saw it open up and as I saw the window for it, I just let it rip."

(On connecting with WR Emeka Egbuka early in the game)

"It is great, he is super mature, he is a quick learner, plays hard. He is just a great player to be around. I knew that he was going to be fired up to make some plays in his first NFL action. I am glad that we were able to connect, and unfortunately, we didn't get able to connect again on that down-the-field shot, but he has done a great job and he's going to continue to do so."

(On if he feels he needed to play well after the Buccaneers signed QB Teddy Bridgewater this past week)

"I am just concerned about being the best that I can be. My whole thing, my whole career is just control what you can control. I wake up every single day, and I try to be the best that I can be, I try to be the best that I can be at practice, in my routine, whatever it may be -- in a game, obviously. That has always been my focus and it will continue to be my focus going forward."

(On his decision-making tonight)

"I am definitely pleased with that. I think that is just the confidence within the system. Being around 'Grizz' (Josh Grizzard) another year -- obviously, he was with us last year. Similar scheme [to last year], so there is some turnover there. I feel really confident with this playbook, and hopefully I was able to show that tonight."

(On working through his progression in the game)

"I hit my first read a couple times, and I also hit some progressions some other times. I love when the first read is open, but sometimes it is not; it is a mixed bag out there. I would say a lot of the throws, I got to my second or third read, but always hoping for the first one to be open -- it makes your job a lot easier."

(On WR Ryan Miller's performance)

"I thought he played great. He has had a great camp. He has always made plays, even the past couple of years. I know he is someone you can count on in a game-like scenario, and I am really happy for him -- I thought he played great. He knows how to uncover and get open and find the right spots to be in. He just has a great feel for the game, and I am happy he was able to get some good receptions and some good targets tonight."

(On RB Sean Tucker and RB Owen Wright's performances after entering the game for RB Rachaad White)

"I thought it was great. I was super impressed with our ability to run the ball. They knew we were going to run the ball but still they struggled to stop it. That is what you want to see from your offensive linemen and tight ends blocking down there in the trenches. It was great to see all the running backs get a good amount of carries and keep those chains moving forward."

(On what explanation he received regarding the Buccaneers signing Teddy Bridgewater)

"I never got a direct answer, to answer your question. They've told me or I've heard through the grapevine that he brings a lot of experience. I have met him and been around him for around a week now, and he is great. He is a great person to be in the room -- he has great ideas. It is always a good thing when you can bring in experience into a quarterback room, it really can bring in some extra knowledge -- it is never a bad thing."

(On if he is a player who performs better in games than practice)

"Sometimes, yeah. The main thing that [Head] Coach [Todd Bowles] said to us was that we have all made plays in practice, but he wants to see [that we] can you go make them in a game-like scenario when the lights are on. I think a lot of guys were ready to go make plays with the lights, just hearing that right before the game, knowing that it was what coach was looking for."

(On if feels he is in a competition for the backup quarterback spot)

"That is out of my control. I don't really have an answer for you. I am just trying to do what I can do and see what happens."

(On what he would like to improve on in practice going forward)

"There were a couple balls I would like to throw a little more accurately, but I feel like that kind of happens throughout the course of any football game. It is never as perfect as you want it to be. We had a good operation going, for sure, but there is always going to be things that you can fix and things you can go back and learn from. I will just have to watch the tape and go from there."

(On his confidence in the wide receiver room)

"I think one of the biggest things that you want to see out of your wide receiver room [are] guys that are hungry for the ball and that want to get open. You never want to be in a huddle with some guys that just want to get through it and just run routes and just barely get by. You want guys that are hungry for the ball, because you know they are going to rip out of the breaks -- you know they are going to attack the ball -- and keep the offense moving forward. I think our receiver room is full of that. We saw a lot of guys make some good catches tonight, and hopefully, we continue to do that."
