QB Cam Ward

(On the Titans generating a scoring drive on their second possession)

"It felt good, just for us to get more than three plays under our belt, for us to get a rhythm as an offense. It's a lot of guys' first time playing together but it felt good to come up with points."

(On how the sequencing of receiving play calls and leading the huddle felt)

"It felt good operation-wise. We really didn't have any [missed assignments]. I think the biggest thing was just us being able to play in a real game atmosphere together, getting the vibe of each other and then playing together like we did."

(On the speed of the game being what he expected)

"It was. It's not really too different from college. It's just more being, I would say, alerted on third downs…Just the 'cans' you can get to in [Head] Coach [Brian] Callahan's offense and then just getting the ball out when it needs to be out."

(On the deep completion to WR Calvin Ridley)

"Offensive line, I think that was a big reason why we were able to move the ball our second drive. Those guys – they came up front and they had the mindset to go get it. They gave me enough time to put the ball in [Calvin Ridley]'s hands and let him make a play and they were the reason why we finished off that drive with points."

(On if he could have made a play on the third down on the first series)

"On the third down one, the timing wasn't there from a standpoint of what it's always been, but in a game that's when you just have to be reactive. I got out of the pocket too early. I could've painted the ball to [Calvin Ridley] and [Tyler] Lockett once I looked at the film. But that's just stuff I have to get better at, just being able to play post-snap, as well."

(On if he wanted to play another drive)

"I wanted to go for a third [drive], especially after we got away with some points but [Head] Coach [Brian] Callahan has got a plan for us. I'm going to stick to his plan and I know he's going to put us in the best situation."

(On getting to the game six hours before kickoff)

"It passes by quickly. Especially when you keep your mind busy. At Miami, we used to be at the game early, so it really doesn't change anything for me process-wise. I am just playing at a higher level."

(On how he passes the time before the game)

"Sit back, relax, reminisce, watch film, watch a movie, just getting my mind in the right headspace that I need to be in."

(On the movie he watched before the game)

"It just came out, I'll look it up. It was a John Cena movie. I didn't finish it."

(On if he always shows up six hours early to games)

"It just depends on the game. At Miami when we had night games, we'd show up a little bit earlier. We have a lot of noon games this year so it'll be normal time, like four hours before the game."

(On the movie he watched before the game)

"The movie was called Freelance. I didn't finish it yet so I'll let you all know how it goes."

(On the grass at Raymond James Stadium)

"The field conditions – you can tell they just put the new grass out there. It felt good. I played here a year ago versus USF and I love playing on grass so it didn't really matter to me."

(On where he wants to improve most)

"I just think my biggest one is that I have to maximize my drives. I had a three-and-out in the first quarter and that's all we did. So, just maximizing my drives and just try to continuously move the chains to give the defense a break."

(On what Head Coach Brian Callahan communicated after the first drive)

"[Coach Callahan] didn't really say [anything]. He's just cool. He said I have another series, go back out there and try to score some points."

(On what his normal procedure is when coming off the field to end a drive)

"I for sure look at the tablet first – it's different because in college, you can actually watch the play. Here, it's all pictures – you can't really watch the play. But, that's really all I do - I look at the tablet. Once I know what I need to get better at after that drive with what the defense is doing, if they stopped us or not, I just watch our defense go and get a stop for us."

(On what the next steps are in his development are for the next preseason game)

"Just playing above the sticks – not getting behind the sticks. Also, just getting the ball out fast – letting my playmakers make plays for us. I think that's what we were able to do on the second drive. Also, just playing at a faster pace – getting in and out of the huddle. [Head] Coach [Brian] Callahan gets me the play call pretty fast, so I'm just trying to play faster."
