It's a most obvious question, but how good does it feel to get a win?
It feels awesome. We felt like it was bound to come. We just had to stick with it, and keep stacking days, and just keep working on improving. I feel like we played good complementary football out there today.
Those last couple of drives, knowing you've got to keep Carolina out of the end zone, you guys were able to step up. How big was that?
It was big. We felt like coming into the game, that our front had to play a major factor. And I felt like we did today, pressuring the quarterback.
Veteran leaders stepping up today like yourself, Jeff Simmons, Denico Autry when you go on defense, and Derek (Henry) on offense. Â How good was that to see the veteran leaders step up, and help you guys win a game when you needed it?
I mean, like I said, it's awesome. To win in this league, our best players, we've got to play at our best. And I felt like today we were able to do that.Â
4-7, and obviously you've got some work left to do. But you have a divisional home game next week. How do you guys approach the mindset for next week?
We just have to come to work and just take it one day at a time. We know it's a big game coming up. It always is, playing them. Just stack days, and just take it one week at a time.
