How did you feel coming back from the injury?
Oh man, I felt good. Put a little pressure on myself. Just being out for a month, been out for four games. I felt like I had to come back and be that.
How were you able to boost your defensive line a little bit in this game?
Oh, it was good. Just communicating, talking throughout the week, the things that we planned and set out to do, today we did that.
Was it frustrating at all defensively when you able to put up a performance like you were able to? I know you had the late score by Houston but the offense wasn't able to get going.
Yeah, it is. It's definitely frustrating. It's frustrating every week until we get a win. I mean, tired of losing. We're doing the same things. But we just got to be better.
You showed some emotion on the sideline after the false start from JC Latham. Was that just like a build of frustration or was that like after getting a stop and y'all are driving, or is that just like a buildup of the season itself?
It just we just got to be better in those situations. That's all it is. We just got to be better. Just got to be better in those situations.
As a veteran, even on the defensive side, what things can you pass on to the young guys like Cam Ward and Elic Ayomanor and all those guys on those key situations?
Learn situational football. We got to be masters at situational football from third down, to get-back-on-track, to—it's a lot of situations within the game of football. We just got to be better in those situations and understand where we're at in that certain situation. We was—what two-minute drive, going down the field, we had momentum, we subbed which we shouldn't have subbed, and then JC (Latham) did an offside or whatever penalty that was. So, it was just a lot of things other than him jumping offside that went into that play.
What did you see from the Houston Texans on tape that allowed you to take advantage of them, more importantly the offensive tackles?
It really was me. It really was a me thing. Like I said earlier in the interview, I put a lot of pressure on myself. Put a lot of pressure on myself to come out to play good ball. There definitely were some certain keys within the game that we took advantage of and we definitely did.
You're always energetic and loud and bring a voice to the team. How do you keep that energy up despite what the record is currently right?
Oh, it's me. I mean that's me. I mean that energy would have been done in this certain case, but that's me. That's always going to be me. I'm always going to be an energetic guy, win, lose, or draw.
