NASHVILLE – The Titans took the field on Wednesday for their ninth open practice of training camp.

Here's a look at what stood out:

-The Titans practiced in pads for the sixth day in a row.

-Safety Quandre Diggs, who re-signed with the team on Tuesday, practiced for the first time in camp in No.28.

Diggs said he's fired up about being back, and reunited with his cousin, Cam Ward.

"When it came together, it was an opportunity to jump on," Diggs said. "It's different when you walk in the locker room and you see your family, real family. It's cool. I am going to continue to handle my business and do what I do also."

Diggs got initiated by doing up-downs in front of the defense at the start of practice.

Here's an interview with Diggs after practice:

And, here's Titans receiver Tyler Lockett talking about being reunited with Diggs, his teammate with the Seahawks:

-Ward performed well in his first practice in front of his cousin.

Ward was really good in a two-minute period at the end of practice, driving the offense 65 yards on 10 plays and capping it off with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Lockett. Ward went 8-of-10 on the drive, including throws to Chimere Dike, Calvin Ridley and Lockett to cap it off. I had Ward going 13-of-15 in team periods on the day, and 2-of-4 in 7-on-7, making him 15-of-19 on the day. It was one of his more efficient days of camp.

-All three quarterbacks performed well in the 2-minute, which included this scenario: 1:52 on the clock, no time outs, need a touchdown, starting at the 35.

-QB Brandon Allen capped his eight-play drive off with a touchdown pass to Xavier Restrepo, going 6-of-8 on the possession. Allen was 8-of-12 in the team periods and 1-of-4 in 7-on-7 on the day, making him 9-of-16 on the day.

-QB Tim Boyle had a good day. After throwing three straight touchdown passes in a red zone 7-on-7 period, Boyle went 7-of-10 in the 2-minute period, capping it off with a touchdown pass to Matt Landers. Boyle was 10-of-16 in team periods on Wednesday, and 3-of-4 in 7-of-7, making him 13-of-20 on the day.

-Edge Jaylen Harrell intercepted Boyle in an early team period.

-Receiver Van Jefferson had a good day, with three catches, including two for touchdowns. Ward connected with Jefferson for one of them, although DC Dennard Wilson was convinced Jefferson stepped out of bounds.

-Landers had two touchdown catches as well – one in a red zone period, the other in two-minute. He had four catches on the day.

-Tight end Josh Whyle had a touchdown catch.

-Receiver Jha'Quan Jackson had a touchdown catch.

-Receiver Elic Ayomanor had a touchdown catch on a ball thrown by Ward in 7-on-7 red zone, and he had a nice one-handed grab earlier in practice.

-Restrepo had an impressive day himself. In addition to his TD catch in the 2-minute, he also made a nice fingertip grab on a deep ball from Allen in an early period.

-Receiver TJ Sheffield caught a deep ball.

-Safety Amani Hooker had a nice PBU early.

-Cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. sniffed out a Tony Pollard run, and chased the running back down when he tried to reverse field.

-Kicker Joey Slye was 5-of-5 in Wednesday's session, with makes from 33, 37, 41, 45 and 49 yards. Slye is now 36-of-41 in camp.

-Running back Tyjae Spears made a nice diving catch.

-Ridley had three catches on the day, along with Pollard and Jefferson.

-Cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. had a PBU.

-Linebacker Cedric Gray also broke up a pass.

-Cornerback Amani Oruwariye nearly had an INT, but the ball escaped his grasp.

-Safety Kevin Winston Jr., who went inside early with a member of the training staff on Sunday, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Defensive lineman Carlos Watkins, who also left practice early Sunday, did not practice.

-Defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat returned to practice on Wednesday, but he went inside with a trainer during the individual portion of practice.

Offensive linemen Blake Hance (calf) and Chandler Brewer (quad) did not practice.

-Offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler, who was given the day off on Sunday, was back at practice.

Zeitler was spotted with a giant bag of cookies after practice.

-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed and center Lloyd Cushenberry began training camp on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list and they're not practicing.

-Safety Joshuah Bledsoe, who also signed with the Titans on Tuesday, practiced in No.42.

-Cornerback Jermari Harris has switched to No.40.

-From a fan perspective, this was the liveliest day of camp.

-The Titans leave for Tampa Wednesday afternoon.

Next practice: Thursday vs the Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla.
