NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Tuesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park.

The team will face the Minnesota Vikings in preseason game No.3 on Friday night at Nissan Stadium.

Here's a look at all the developments from today's practice …

-It was another steamer on Tuesday, with a feels-like temperature of 103 degrees at the end of practice. Was it a coincidence Nelly's "Hot In Herre" played through the speakers during part of practice?

-Receiver Van Jefferson had a good day in a number of areas. Jefferson caught a practice-high four passes, including a pair of deep balls. Coaches also praised Jefferson for his blocking on one play.

After working on the JUGS after practice, Jefferson spoke to reporters.

-Quarterback Cam Ward went 5-of-8 in the 7-on-7 period, and 5-of-9 in the team periods on Tuesday, making him 10-of-17 for the day.

Ward had a little fun in individual drills, showing off an underhanded pass at one point.

-Running back Tony Pollard had several nice runs, some of them through giant holes.

-Right tackle J.C. Latham was seen leaving practice early with a trainer after individual drills.

-I noticed linebacker Cedric Gray on several occasions on Tuesday, meeting runners in the hole. On another play, Gray busted into the backfield and took the handoff from quarterback Brandon Allen.

-Linebacker Amari Burney had an interception of Trevor Siemian on a ball that was tipped.

-Receiver Elic Ayomanor let a catchable ball from Ward go off his hands in the middle of the field.

-Defensive back Marcus Harris was right there on a run by Jermar Jefferson.

-Defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day was there to stop a run by Jordan Mims.

-Running back Julius Chestnut produced several nice runs, after being complimented by head coach Brian Callahan in his session with media before practice.

-Running back Kalel Mullings caught three passes on Tuesday, trailing only Jefferson for the most catches on the day.

-QB Brandon Allen was 3-of-5 on the day, including 2-of-3 in the team period.

-Siemian was 2-of-2 in the 7-on-7 period, with completions to Jha'Quan Jackson and Mason Kinsey.

-Callahan said "we'll see" before practice when asked if cornerback L'Jarius Sneed will be ready for season opener in Denver. Callahan said Sneed is working to get healthy and back on the field.

-Kicker Joey Slye was 5-of-5 in practice, with makes from 33, 37, 41, 46 and 49 yards, and he's now 41-of-46 in the training camp practices in Nashville.

-Jha'Quan Jackson, James Proche, Xavier Restrepo, Chimere Dike and TJ Sheffield worked in a punt return period.

-Receiver Calvin Ridley did not practice because of soreness.

-RB Tyjae Spears did not practice.

-Safety Kevin Winston Jr. did not practice.

-Defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat did not practice.

-Defensive lineman Isaiah Raikes did not practice.

-Receiver Matt Landers did not practice.

-Sneed, who began training camp on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list, is still not practicing.
