NASHVILLE, Tenn. --** Papa John's, official sponsor of the NFL, today presented $16,853 at Pearl Cohn High School to Titans safety Michael Griffin's Sacks 4 Kids program, raised through sales of the "Michael Griffin Special" throughout the NFL Regular Season.

Papa John's was able to double the amount raised for Sacks 4 Kids in their second year of partnering with the program.
The Michael Griffin Special consisted of any large pizza and 2-Liter for $12 with $1 of each Michael Griffin Special going to Sacks 4 Kids, which provides sacks of healthy foods and snacks for kids to take home on weekends, when they otherwise do not have access to nutritious meals. The program is active in four high schools throughout Nashville and partners with Packed With Love, a local grassroots non-profit to distribute the food.
"In our second year in partnering with Michael and Sacks 4 Kids, we knew we wanted to raise more funds for Sacks 4 Kids. We are thrilled that Papa John's was able to raise over $16,000 for this outstanding program!" said Bobby Meroney, operations vice president for Papa John's. "It's important to be involved in your community, and this was a great opportunity for Papa John's to team up with Michael Griffin again and to give back to the community that we proudly serve."
In addition to the check presentation, Papa John's provided pizza and beverages to approximately 25 Pearl Cohn students who benefit from the program today, as they had a chance to sit down with Michael Griffin and discuss his career in the NFL.

"I can't thank them enough for all of their support, as well as the thousands of Titans fans who chose to help me fight hunger by supporting this promotion. I am proud to work with Packed With Love here in Nashville to feed those children in need."
"Packed With Love has been able to feed 350 children per week at Hunters Lane High School, Glencliff High School, Pearl-Cohn Comprehensive Magnetic High School and our newest, Stratford STEM Magnetic High School in the school year 2013-2014. We have plans to add two additional high schools in the Fall of 2014, thanks to monies donated from Papa John's Pizza, Michael Griffin's Sacks 4 Kids and our generous donors," said Jen Davis, President, Packed With Love, Inc. "We have enjoyed partnering with both of these community organizations and look forward to continuing this beneficial relationship."
Papa John's, along with Michael Griffin's Sacks 4 Kids and other donors, have raised more than $39,000 for Packed With Love in the last two years.
