When, you know, in a divisional game on the road, they're going to make it as tough as possible. Zaire (Franklin) talked about the resiliency. What did this team prove today?
We proved to ourselves that we can stick together, and we can come on top no matter what situation that we have. Our coaches did a great jobs of putting us in position this game, I feel like. So, everything else between the lines, it's just that one eleven, just being great and just coming together and getting the job done.
How much confidence did you have in your offense there to close it out with what you guys were able to do and contain Tennessee?
We've seen Alec (Pierce) make those catches all the time in practice. He's made them in the game. So, once I seen the deep ball go to him, I knew he would come down with it. I'm just proud of him, I'm proud that they stood up in a time where we needed them, and the team needed them, the organization needed them. Those guys should be proud. I'm proud of them. And Gardner (Minshew), hey, Gardner magic, Minshew magic, man. Let's just keep this going, man. I think he's a great quarterback, he can make a playoff run with us, and we got his back for sure.
The collective effort on your special teams was indeed special today. How do you describe the momentum that they gave you guys from everyone stepping up? You had Tony (Brown), you had Segun (Olubi), you had Grant (Stuard), Nick (Cross). I mean, everybody was in there.
That's just, I mean, we always been heavy on special teams. That's a compliment to how those guys practice throughout the week and the resilience that they have, just making the most of their moments and opportunities with the special team plays that's given. We was all there at one point, you know what I mean, as a special team player. And when you make those plays, they don't come often, but when they do, and you make them, it just means everything. So, I'm proud of those guys and I just encourage them to keep going. Thank you.
