What was the explanation you got on your penalty on (Chimere) Dike's touchdown return, which was called back?
Basically, they said that it was a blindside block. That the person I was blocking wasn't looking, so he's a defenseless player. And I guess they said that I led with my shoulder. I thought I led with my hands, but I just have to eat it, have to be a little bit smarter in that situation next time.
You say, be smarter. What could you have done in that situation?
Probably just throw my hands up and have some body presence, instead of just hitting him. You know, just getting in his way to slow him down, that's probably the best you can do in that situation.
How did you hate it when you saw it go for six, and then you saw the flag?
Yeah, obviously, I was very emotional when I saw they had thrown the flag on me. I hate being the reason, kind of, missing out on points for our team. Or letting my team down in any way, shape, or form, or fashion. So I was definitely disappointed, but just have to get back up next play.
It seemed things were close early in this game. What maybe happened in the second half, where they were able to separate it a bit?
Yeah, I mean, I think they were just kind of able to get on us quick in the second half. They made a few plays, and things just kind of switched very, very quickly.
(Brian) Callahan talked about the struggles not being able to affect (Matthew) Stafford. Is that something you guys thought you'd be able to do this week, and why do you think you guys weren't able to be successful?
Yeah, I mean, I think we were able to kind of get in his face a little bit. I think that he was just able to make some good throws down the field on time.
