NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Titans receiver Kendall Wright stood in front of his locker at Saint Thomas Sports Park for what he believes was the last time on Monday.

A day after the team's season finale, Wright cleaned out his locker and said goodbye to teammates.

With his contract expiring this offseason, Wright expects to play elsewhere next season. He got emotional when talking about it, his eyes welling up with tears on multiple occasions.

"I enjoyed all my years here,'' Wright said. "We had ups and downs, and I played with a lot of quarterbacks, and for my final few years here, for us to have a quarterback and to run some of the things we were running, it was fun and I enjoyed it. … I'll miss it."

"I'll be glad to see what I can do and make a team fall in love with me and go and do what I know I can do."

A first-round draft pick by the Titans in 2012, Wright admitted he was emotional, and having to fight back tears during an interview with reporters.

"Kind of,'' Wright said. "I'd never seen a day when I'd be talking about leaving the Titans. It just snuck up on you really."

Titans coach Mike Mularkey said at a press conference later in the day no decision had been made on Wright, who was one of the team's inactives against the Texans.

Wright was also an inactive for a game earlier this season for missing meetings.

"We haven't talked about Kendall," Mularkey said of conversations with GM Jon Robinson. "We haven't even done player evaluations yet. There's going to be some guys that are back, and there's going to be some guys that are back for one reason or another. Those discussions are coming."

Wright caught 29 passes for 416 yards for the Titans in 2016 while playing in 11 games. He missed three games early with a hamstring injury.

In five seasons with the team, Wright caught 280 passes for 3,244 yards with 18 touchdowns.

"(On Sunday), I saw the 2017 Tennessee Titans, and I am not a part of the 2017 Tennessee Titans,'' Wright said. "It is what it is. I respect everybody in the building.

"But they have something good here, and I think they'll win a lot of games. For me, I feel like it is time for me to grind."

Wright said he'll remember "being around the guys."

"I've been around Kenny Britt, Chris Johnson, Nate Washington," Wright said. "I've played with Jake (Locker). I've played with a lot of people and seen a lot of faces come through here. It was fun. All the years I that I was here, it didn't go as planned, but you could tell that one of these teams will get over the hump."
