Keith named Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year

NASHVILLE, TN, Feb. 25, 2009 — Titans Director of Broadcasting Mike Keith was named the Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year for 2008, the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday.

Keith, who has served as the team's director of broadcasting since 1998 and "The Voice of the Titans" since 1999, has now won the award seven times since 2000.

In addition to his play-by-play duties with the Titans, Keith makes countless appearances across the Mid-South, hosts the weekly Jeff Fisher radio show and serves as host/writer/producer for the team's television show, "Titans All Access."

Keith came to the Titans after working in Knoxville, Tenn. for WIVK Radio, WBIR-TV and the Vol Radio Network. From 1991-98, Keith won over 20 awards from the AP State Broadcasters Association. Keith also has two prestigious national sports reporting awards to his credit: a 1997 Edward R. Murrow Award and a 2003 NSSA Award.
