NASHVILLE – Former Titans assistant coach and radio analyst Dave McGinnis will be inducted into the franchise's Ring of Honor this fall.

McGinnis, who passed away in April, will become the 20th member of the team's Ring of Honor.

"Coach Mac represented the best of us," Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said in a statement. "His selflessness, passion for the game, and ability to bring out the best in others truly embodied what it means to be a Tennessee Titan. From his time on the field as a coach, to the moments he narrated in the radio booth, his contributions to our organization are immeasurable. We are honored to induct him into the Titans Ring of Honor this season."

Raised in Texas, McGinnis spent a lot of his life in Nashville with the Titans, first as a coach and later as a broadcaster.

McGinnis took over as gameday color analyst in 2017 for Titans Radio, a job he held through the 2025 season. He initially joined the Titans family as an assistant coach on Jeff Fisher's staff with the team back in 2004, and he spent eight seasons as linebackers coach.

After serving on Fisher's staff as linebackers coach from 2004-2010 in Tennessee, and in 2011 under Mike Munchak with the Titans, McGinnis later served as an assistant head coach under Fisher with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams from 2012-2016. In his coaching career, McGinnis accumulated three decades of experience from 1986 to 2016 with the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Titans and Rams, as a linebackers coach, defensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and also as a head coach.

When he returned to Nashville at the end of his coaching career, McGinnis joined Titans Radio, where his knowledge and passion for the game was regularly on full display while providing insight and analysis as color analyst while working alongside play-by-play men Mike Keith and Taylor Zarzour.

A exact date on the Ring of Honor ceremony will be announced at a later date.
