NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Back in 2008, Titans running back Chris Johnson celebrated a long touchdown run at Arrowhead Stadium by playing the bongo drums in Kansas City's pep band.

In Tennessee's win over the Chiefs on Saturday, current Titans running back Derrick Henry paid tribute to Johnson with a dance of his own.

This one didn't include drums, but there's no mistaking it was a dance Johnson made famous during his playing days with the team.

"Chris Johnson did a lot of good things for this organization – he was a great player in the league when he was here," Henry said. "I just did the celebration – I'd seen him do it a couple of times.

"I just did it out of love and respect for him."

Henry did the celebratory dance after scoring on his 35-yard touchdown run in the team's 22-21 win over the Chiefs. Johnson, a first-round pick by the Titans in the 2008 NFL draft, racked up 7,965 yards during his playing days with the team. Johnson departed as the franchise's No. 3 all-time rusher behind Eddie George (10,009) and Earl Campbell (8,574).

Johnson sent Henry a message via Twitter after seeing the dance: "See ya @KingHenry_2 keep it going."

Henry responded to Johnson with three emojis, including one of a goat, which signifies "Greatest of All Time."

Henry and Johnson are both from the state of Florida, and they've met.

"I've talked to him before, and he's a cool guy," Henry said. "And he was a great back here."
