NASHVILLE, Tenn —** The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) today announced that Nashville will be one of 15 markets that will welcome the 2019 edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup summer of 2019. The games scheduled to be played in countries outside of the US, Canada, and Mexico will be announced at a later date.

The Concacaf Gold Cup is the premier regional soccer championship that crowns the best national team in North, Central America and the Caribbean, featuring some of the hemisphere's best players and teams.

"We're thrilled to welcome the Gold Cup back to Nashville next year," Nashville Mayor David Briley said. "This is another big day for Nissan Stadium and Nashville as we are selected as a Gold Cup venue for 2019," said Bob Flynn, Titans Vice President of Facilities and Game Day Operations. "We had a great crowd (47,622) for our Gold Cup match-day last year and earned the right to host again. This is the marquee event for soccer in this region of the world and we are eager to welcome the international community to Nashville and Nissan Stadium. We take great pride in being able to host these world-class teams and look forward to putting on another great soccer event."

Canada, Mexico and the United States automatically qualify for the Gold Cup in representation of North America.

The additional participating nations in the 2019 Gold Cup will qualify through Concacaf Nations League Qualifier competition, to be played in September, October, and November of 2018, and March of 2019.
