Catch Cally?: What Titans HC Brian Callahan Said About Injuries and More Before Wednesday's Practice

catch-cally

NASHVILLE – Titans coach Brian Callahan spoke to reporters before Wednesday's practice.

The team is scheduled to practice from 12:45-2 p.m. today to prepare for Sunday's game at the Houston Texans.

Some real quick highlights on what Callahan, aka "Cally", said before I head to practice:

(These are really quick this week, since there was a five-minute gap from the presser to the start of practice).

-Receiver Calvin Ridley is sick today, and he won't practice. He's expected back tomorrow.

-RB Tyjae Spears is working through concussion protocol.

-Nicholas Petit-Frere will start the week as the starting right tackle.

-Offensive tackle Leroy Watson won't be back this week. He's still dealing with a back injury.

-Callahan said cornerbacks Darrell Baker and Jarvis Brownlee Jr have really stepped up. Brownlee plays with a pitbull mentality, Callahan said, and Baker has been good, playing a lot of snaps.

-Callahan said L'Jarius Sneed is dealing with a "legitimate injury", same for Chidobe Awuzie. Hopefully we'll get them back soon, he said.

-Sneed is officially OUT for this week

-CB Chidobe Awuzie will return to practice next week, Callahan said.
